This move marks a significant milestone for our business, and we’re here to highlight the many benefits and exciting developments this new location brings to our guests.
A New Home with Endless Possibilities
Our new headquarters, the former newspaper building at Svartenakken, provides us with the much-needed space and facilities to expand our adventure operations and outdoor experiences. Previously, we operated out of our Outdoor Center next to Voss Kulturhus. While the Outdoor Center provided us with amazing exposure, it limited our ability to grow and provide the best experiences for our customers. Now, with a more substantial indoor space, we can finally bring our long-held visions and an even better guest experience to life!

- Year-Round Operations:
One of the most exciting aspects of our new premises is the ability to operate year-round. Unlike our outdoor center tent, which was only feasible during certain seasons, our new indoor location allows us to welcome adventurers every day of the year. Plus, we still utilize our iconic outdoor center throughout the peak summer season. This means more opportunities for you to explore the breathtaking landscapes of Voss, regardless of the season.
- Enhanced Security:
Security has always been a concern, especially with valuable equipment. Our previous setup made us vulnerable to theft, but our new indoor facility offers significantly better security. This ensures that our equipment remains safe, allowing us to focus on what we do best—providing unforgettable river, mountain, and fjord experiences in Voss.
- Improved Customer Service:
The move enables us to offer even better customer service. With a larger and more permanent space, we can streamline our operations and provide a more comfortable and efficient service to our clients. This enhancement is crucial as we continue to grow and welcome more adventurers to Voss.

Since we started in 2016, Outdoor Norway has been committed to offering a wide range of outdoor activities, from kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, and beyond. Our new location strengthens this commitment by providing a more robust foundation for our operations. Here’s a glimpse of the improvements:
- Mountain Biking: Our new space safely secures our large fleet of bikes, along with a dedicated bike technician workshop for our expert guides to maintain, prepare, and optimize bike offerings for tours and rentals.
- Rafting, Kayaking, and Canoeing: With ample parking space, more boat/trailer storage, and private changing room areas, we’re able to streamline our whitewater trips and provide a more comfortable experience for our guests.
- Winter Sports: From snowshoeing to backcountry skiing, our new location allows for year-round access, catering to all skiers, snowboarders, and winter enthusiasts enjoying the slopes around Voss.
Growing Stronger Together
Our team at Outdoor Norway has grown significantly over the years. This summer, we have 15 dedicated employees, up from just six three years ago. Each member of our team undergoes extensive training to ensure they are well-prepared to provide safe, enjoyable, and memorable experiences for our customers.
We have also built strong relationships with local hotels and businesses in the tourism industry. These partnerships enable us to offer comprehensive packages that enhance your adventure with accommodations and additional activities, all originating from our centrally located building along Vangsvatnet.
